My Story

Tanya at the Foot Nurse

The core of my professional journey has always been fueled by a passion for caring for others and this commitment has found expression in various roles. I hold full training as a Swedish masseuse, a certification as an aesthetics professional, and registration as a nurse with specialised training from York Mental Health Nursing. I spent several years with the Harrogate Health Clinic, where my roles included caring for youths with addictions, serving as a mental health nurse, and working on a brain injury unit, in addition to working with the elderly.

About Me

My interest in foot care traces back to my days as a masseuse and deepened significantly during my work with the elderly, where I observed a significant need for neglected foot care. In response to this, I independently funded my pursuit of a Level 4 Foot Health Care Practitioner Diploma. This diverse range of experiences has uniquely positioned me to establish a comforting and non-judgmental space for all my clients. Armed with a profound understanding of the intricacies of the human body, I am well-equipped to provide effective and considerate care. The best part of my job is knowing that I have made a difference to somebody, I have always enjoyed caring for people.

I spend my spare time with my loving family of three children and beautiful grandchildren, and my adorable dog Chief who is always by my side.  I am a firm believer in lifelong learning and a love for life. I have found that learning new things and broadening my horizons have kept me engaged and vibrant. In everything I do, I try to spread joy and positivity.
