Frequently Asked Questions

What sort of treatments do you do for diabetic feet?

During a foot health check, I meticulously examine your feet for any signs of trauma to the skin tissue, including color changes, hard skin areas, sores, inflammation, and infection. I also assess blood flow and nerve damage by checking the pulse in each foot. Nail care, including safe cutting and filing, is part of the process. For complex foot conditions like ulcers, I may refer you to specialists such as The Foot Protection Service or your GP, and if necessary, prescribe antibiotics. Ensuring appropriate footwear is worn is also a crucial aspect of the examination.

I have tightening of tendons in my feet. Is there anything you can do?

The recommended approach is to prioritize rest, elevate your feet, and consider ice compression. Minimize activities that strain your feet, although we understand it can be challenging, especially if you're working. Avoiding repetitive motions can prevent increased pain. While a foot massage might help relax muscles and alleviate tension and inflammation, its overall effectiveness varies and is subjective.

What qualifications do you hold and are you insured?

I am a certified Foot Health Practitioner with a Level 4 Diploma from Next Generation Foot Health Training. This comprehensive training equips me with the knowledge and skills to address various foot health concerns. Additionally, I have professional liability insurance ensuring your peace of mind when availing my professional services.
